This is one of those times when I seriously regret that i can't read Spanish.

Vinila Von Bismark was a singer in the band Krakovia:

KRAKOVIA - Summer Road

Ridiculously GORGEOUS photography here The LIGHTING holy SHITE!!! UNF.

Here is a biography in Spanish here. What I am managing to get out of it is that the band is punk, rockabilly, glam and was influenced by Tarantino films. Their debut album is "Road movie" and there are songs in English, German and Spanish.

She is now fronting another band, Vinilla von Bismark and the Lucky Dados:

And they are currently on tour in Spain.

here's her Myspace, Website and Facebook

And here's an English Interview and a great pic, which I stuck at the the top of the post.!!!

Entrevista de la semana Vinila Von Bismark

Vinila Von Bismark is Irene López Mañas, probably the most mainstream expression of Spanish burlesque.

She is a dancer, a Dj and, broadly speaking, an artist. After playing with Krakovia, the band that made her famous and which ended with the album entitled Road Movie, she has embarked on a solo career backed up by The Lucky Dados. Good2b has come to interview her...

So how did you come up with the name 'Vinila Von Bismark'?

Vinila comes from my passion for vinyls and Von Bismark... I always say it's because of my aristocratic German past (laughter). No, it all stems from my passion for Marlene Dietrich and German culture in general.

Why did you leave Krakovia and started playing solo with The Lucky Dados?

I felt like taking a step further and work with The Lucky Dados to compose songs, lyrics and good music. I wanted to move on... I guess I felt a bit stuck when I was with Krakovia.

And how did you come together?
I did a burlesque show with a live band and double bassist was Carlos. I felt curious about the band and wanted to meet them. I once went to one of their shows in Madrid and I love them. I was excited about their stage performance and the energy they transmit. So I suggested we should play together and they accepted.MORE
