Zhang Yun Jing (family name is Zhang; anglicized as Jing Chang) is a Taiwanese singer who won the first Taiwanese singing competition, "Super Idol", in 2008. Trained as a graphic designer, and also the former lead guitarist/vocalist of an indie band, she released her first album in 2009, but for her second album, she bucked the usual Taiwanese pop-icon route to work instead with various Hong Kong-based musicians, going for a stronger, more rock-based sound. The result, "The Opposite Me", was released in July of this year. So far six or seven music videos have been released, as well as several re-packaged collections.
(If you're not familiar with the East Asian pop-music industries, "re-packaging" is hugely popular, and reminds me a lot of the old limited-edition special-printing EPs that would come with the band's picture printed on the vinyl or some other special feature, to encourage fans to buy multiple, albeit remixed or re-recorded, copies of the same songs. Basically, there seems to be a connection between re-packaging and sales records: the more of the latter, the more of they churn out of the former.)
Winning a Super-Idol contest would all sound so very, very... pat, until you realize she's pretty much breaking a whole lot of templates when it comes to what's expected. Just watch & you'll see what I mean.
